If you're so smart, go do it.
There's a oft-quoted paper from the MIT Technology Review, If you're so smart, why aren't you rich? with a simple premise:
Intelligence & work ethic follow a normal distributions, but wealth does not. You can't work one million times more than anyone, but there are people one million times more wealthy than others.
The conclusion of this paper is that the most successful people are lucky. I think that's a cop-out.
If you are smarter, more talented, or more clever than everyone else, there has never been a better time to prove it. Every technological advancement reduces the barrier to entry and... there have been quite a few advancements.
20 years ago you had to be "connected" or extremely lucky to create "content." Mr. Beast just built an EMPIRE posting videos on YouTube.
20 years ago you needed a degree to learn to code. Today, you can learn to code in a week. Not shitty generated code. Conceptual understanding. Working apps.
Technological levers enhance productivity. As technology gets more powerful, so do the levers. If you're so smart and you know how to use the levers, what excuse do you have?
If you think you're the best (or you want to be the best),
If you're tired of being rejected, overlooked, and stepped on,
If you hate losing (or claim to hate losing),
If you want nothing more than to achieve your potential,
If you think you're so smart,
Get up, figure it out, and fucking make a name for yourself.
