Life and plants
Plants are surprisingly easy to kill. Trust me, I speak from experience.
Too little water, too much water. Not enough sunlight, too much sunlight, you get the idea.
If you've owned plants for a while, there are two things you need to be good at:
Taking decisive action and sticking to your decision,
Doing nothing.
If you have root rot on your Monstera, you might have one shot to get it right. You make a guess, take action, and observe the results. If your plant is happy, you do nothing and stay the course.
In American culture there's a bias towards action as a solution to our problems. Often, action is useful. Sometimes it is not.
